No prior experience required, learn a new instrument from scratch!
What You’ll Learn
I personalize each and every lesson with exercises based around picking and strumming techniques, and I transcribe your favourite songs – all using pro music software so it’s easier to read! And I can supplement lessons with music theory.
The overall lesson plan typically includes a (1) warm up, (2) chord/strumming exercise, (3) picking/melodic exercise, and (4) song.
Topics that can be covered (but not exclusive to):
- Open chords, barre chords, and extended chords (jazz chords)
- Strumming patterns & rhythm skills
- Riffs and lead guitar techniques (hammer-ons, pull-offs, bends, etc…)
- Fingerstyle and strumming techniques
- Song structure & songwriting
- Playing confidently with others
- Theory (how to make chord progressions, riffs, etc…)
The focus is always on building skills that transfer into real music and not just exercises!
Guitar Lessons for Kids
For my younger students, I always try to make music lessons fun and engaging:
- I teach core concepts with a more fun and straightforward approach (like using fruit names to count rhythms)
- I can simplify chords and rhythms to help kids start playing their favourite songs faster
- I add pictures to music notation to make sheet music more intuitive for kids to read
My lesson plans for kids centres around music games and activities, sing-a-longs, and songs that kids are more likely to know, like theme songs, folk songs, film music, and pop songs!
Lesson Details
Location: In-person guitar lessons in Toronto (near College/Lansdowne)
Length: 60 minutes
Rate: $60 for in-person lesson, $50 for online lesson
Frequency: Weekly recommended, biweekly lessons also available

I have these times currently available for lessons (times are in EST)
Biweekly lessons are available, but are limited to daytime slots (before 4pm) because my evening slots are very limited at this time.
Mondays: 12:30pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm
Tuesdays: 10am, Noon
Wednesdays: 2pm, 3pm, 4pm
Thursdays: Full
Fridays: Noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm
Saturday: Full
Sunday: Unavailable
